Driven2Distraction Courses
Driven2Distraction offers a range of courses aimed at drivers of any age or experience. We can also provide awareness sessions for younger people of pre-driving age which encompasses general road safety distractions. We can deliver all our courses at your premises or we can arrange a venue for attendees up to a maximum of 20 per session. All courses aimed at children or young adults are led by DBS checked individuals with all relevant safeguarding measures in place.
Our commercial services are aimed at businesses who employ drivers for their work and can include delivery services, fleets, taxis, public services, facilities management, networks, roadworks and any other industry with drivers on the road.
All our courses are available online via our learning portal so can be taken at any time on mobile device, tablet, laptop or computer.


Safe Driving Systems
Our Safe Driving Systems course is for all drivers, regardless of age and experience. The course can be delivered in person or online, covering all aspects of distracted driving and how road users can break acquired bad habits to make them safer drivers. The course consists of 10 chapters and includes evidence and statistics of distracted driving incidents, real-life accounts of the consequences of distracted driving, short videos and documentary sequences, the law regarding use of mobile devices at the wheel and a short test at the end.
PLEASE NOTE: Some of the video footage of distracted driving incidents is quite shocking. While there is no extreme graphic content and nothing that would not be shown on a mainstream news programme, some viewers may find it distressing. There will be warnings before the video footage is shown and we will publish details of help that is available should anyone require it.
Who is this course for?
The Safe Driving Systems course can be for any driver, regardless of age and experience.
What is the course format?
The course is broken down into 10 parts or modules with a presenter talking through different aspects of distracted driving, the possible consequences of incidents, the law, how to break habits and tips for reducing distractions. At the end of the course there will be a short test about the subjects covered.
What is the course duration?
The course takes approximately 1-2 hours depending on feedback and questions.
The online course can be done at the users own pace and progress is saved so it can be completed in more than one session.

Young Driver Awareness
Our Young Driver Awareness course is aimed at newly qualified and learner drivers predominantly. We also offer a course to younger audiences to create awareness of distractions as pedestrians or cyclists. The course is shorter than usual consisting of 7 chapters in a more accessible way than the usual awareness course. The aim is to make young people aware of the dangers and encourage them as passengers in vehicles to call out drivers who may be distracted, as well as highlighting the dangers of being distracted pedestrians, especially when crossing the road.
PLEASE NOTE: Some of the video footage of distracted driving incidents is quite shocking. While there is no extreme graphic content and nothing that would not be shown on a mainstream news programme, some viewers may find it distressing. There will be warnings before the video footage is shown and we will publish details of help that is available should anyone require it. We will discuss the inclusion of video content with the team hosting the course beforehand to determine what will or won’t be included.
For the course aimed at younger audiences, there will be no video content of accidents or incidents.
Who is this course for?
The Young Driver Awareness course is aimed at new and learner drivers but can also be rolled out to younger children from 12 onwards

The course is broken down into 10 parts or modules with a presenter talking through different aspects of distracted driving, the possible consequences of incidents, the law, how to break habits and tips for reducing distractions.
For younger audiences the course format shows not just the consequences of distracted driving, but all aspects of distraction around road use as drivers, cyclists and pedestrians. For learner and new drivers, at the end of the course there will be a short test about the subjects covered.
For younger audiences this will be replaced with a quick-fire interactive quiz

The online course can be done at the users own pace and progress is saved so it can be completed in more than one session

Our Commercial Driving Safety course is for drivers in any driving industry including deliveries, facilities, fleets, haulage, taxis, public transport, sales, transport and more. The course can be delivered in person at the clients premises, at our offices by arrangement or online, covering all aspects of distracted driving and how road users can break acquired bad habits to make them safer drivers.
